Front Raise - Dumbbells

Stand with your knees slightly bent, an upright posture, arms by your side and a dumbbell in each hand. Keep your wrists straight and your palms facing in towards your body.

Now slowly raise your arms upwards in front of your body keeping your palms facing each other, when your hands reach shoulder height stop and slowly lower the weights back down to your side.

Do's Don'ts
  • Do breathe out on the way up and in on the way down
  • Do have a slight bend in your elbow
  • Do only go as high as shoulder level
  • Do keep your stomach tight
  • Do keep the movement slow and controlled
  • Don't hold your breath
  • Don't swing the weights
  • Don't arch your back to aid the movement
  • Don't drop your arms back down to your side
