Press Up - 3/4

Get on all fours, on the floor, making sure that your knees are behind your hips so that your body makes a straight line from your knees to your head.

Have your hands placed slightly wider than shoulder width apart and directly below your shoulders.

Now bend your arms at the elbows lowering your body towards the ground.

When your arms are at 90 degrees at the elbow stop and push yourself back up. On the way up stop just before your arms are completely straight. Make sure you get some soft flooring for your knees!

Do's Don'ts
  • Do place your hands slightly wider than shoulder width apart
  • Do breathe out on the way up and in on the way down
  • Do pivot on your knees
  • Do push up when your elbows reach 90 degrees
  • Do keep your body completely straight throughout the movement
  • Don't hold your breath
  • Don't lock your elbows out
  • Don't let your hips drop down
