Seated Row Narrow Grip - Machine

Set the machine up so that it is in the right position for your height – hand grips should be just lower than your shoulders (if unsure ask for assistance).

Sitting down with good posture and your chest on the chest rest, hold onto the narrow grips so that your palms are facing inwards and slowly pull the handle bars towards you keeping your elbows tucked into your body throughout the movement.

At the furthest point back squeeze your shoulder blades together and then slowly return until your arms are straight.


Do's Don'ts
  • Do keep your tummy tight
  • Do keep your back straight
  • Do keep your chest against the chest rest throughout
  • Do breathe out on the way back and in on the way forward
  • Don't let your back arch or curve
  • Don't hold your breath
  • Don't swing your body to aid the movement
