Bicep Curl - Dumbbells

Stand with your knees slightly bent, with a good upright posture and a dumbbell in each hand. Make sure your wrists are straight with your palms facing forwards.

Bring your arms up and in towards your body by bending them at the elbow, keeping your elbows tucked into your sides. Once you are as far as you can go slowly lower them back to the starting position.

Make sure with this exercise that you don't allow your elbows to come forwards.


Do's Don'ts
  • Do breathe out on the way up and in on the way down
  • Do keep your elbows down by your side
  • Do keep a slow and controlled movement
  • Do keep good posture throughout
  • Don't hold your breath
  • Don't swing the weights
  • Don't let your elbows come forwards
  • Don't shrug your shoulders during the movement
