Abdominal Crunch - Machine

Set the machine to your height by adjusting the seat so that the pad is across your upper chest (if unsure ask an instructor)

Hold your hands around the pad so that you are comfortable and contract your stomach muscles by pulling them in and upwards and lean forwards so that your shoulders are going down towards your knees. Go as far as you can, hold it for a fraction of a second and slowly come back up again.


Do's Don'ts
  • Do keep your tummy tight
  • Do breathe out on the way down and in on the way up
  • Don't pick too heavy a weight
  • Don't hold your breath
  • Don't arch your back
